​REVEREND CANON CHRIS MATCHETT - RECTOR OF ST MARK'S

Revd. Chris, is a Londonderry born, husband to Ali, and father of three children (and two dogs and a cat!) Instituted into the Parish of St. Marks in 2011, Chris has a rich connection with the Diocese, after serving two curacies here, before serving for 7 years as rector of Magheracross in Clogher Diocese. He was instituted as Canon in Down Cathedral in 2017.

Chris has a passion for church unity and growth, and is involved in Ards Churches Together as well as working with Steven Dougherty on the Glen Community Church, a plant out of St. Marks. He also loves his motorcycle, and will often turn up to church in style on it.

STEVEN DOUGHERTY - GLEN COMMUNITY CHURCH PLANT LEADER

Steven Dougherty, is a down to earth guy who loves a cup of coffee and a chat about life and how God fits in our day to day lives. He is currently leading the Glen Community Church and has a heart for seeing the estate thriving as a community, with a place for people to come and meet and begin a relationship with God. He is currently pursuing Ordained Local Ministry, a new opportunity within the Church of Ireland!

PATRICK GRIMSHAW - PASTORAL ASSISTANT

Patrick Grimshaw, is a theology student, exploring the idea of ordination and working within the parish to gain a fuller insight into the day to day life of a connected parish. He has a passion for building authentic community within St. Marks, and co-ordinating an effective strategy to grow and develop inwardly in our congregation and outwardly into the wider community. He also is obsessed with coffee and Netflix.

JULIE CRAYTHORNE - OFFICE ADMINSITRATOR

Julie is the how the parishes day to day activity happens! Her invaluable work in the parish office throughout the week allows the parish centre and church grounds to function as a blessing to the congregation and wider community through various events and activities.
